Witnesses testified about the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy’s Anti-Drug Media Campaign, and efforts by the entertainment industry to promote an anti-drug message. At issue was an agreement between the office and the networks to use story lines in existing shows to promote anti-drug messages and receive credit for airing required public service announcements. close
