Professor Vincent Harding, Prof. of Religious Studies spoke about the relationship between Dr. Martin Luther King’s lecture and the Million Man March. He examined both the similarities and differences between the 1963 March and the 1995 March. After his prepared remarks, he took questions from the audience. Before Professor Harding’s lecture, Professor Bernice Reagon, American University, History Department, opened the event with a hymn.
