Dr. Atul Grover talked about the implementation of the Affordable Care Act in relation to his Association of American Medical College group’s projections for future doctor shortages in the U.S. He said that the U.S. needs to train a few thousand more physicians per year in order to meet increased needs created by the health care law as well as changing demographics and increased life expectancies.

The topic was drawn from a question posed by a C-SPAN viewer: How many doctors are needed to implement the Affordable Care Act? close
