Douglas Duncan, Fannie Mae’s chief economist and senior vice president, talked about the economy and the housing market. He said that it remained on “firm footing” but that the economy “has a ways to go” to improve. “It’s not near recession but not robust,” he added. He used slides during his presentation and then responded to questions submitted by members of the audience.
