Thomas Donohue gave his annual state of American business address, outlining the Chamber of Commerce’s policy and political agenda for the year. In his speech he said the nation’s most pressing economic challenge is the lack of sufficient growth to create jobs, expand income, reduce government deficits, and fund essential programs. He criticized the Obama administration’s “avalanche” of regulations and for delaying the Keystone pipeline, and Senate Democrats for not allowing votes on some bills passed by the House that he says could accelerate job growth. close
