He emphasized the importance of public and industry feedback the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) was seeking during the rule-making process. He also said that community banks had been pushed further and further towards the periphery of consumer finance in the U.S. He also acknowledged the concerns of small banks with regard to overburden regulations and compliance costs. close
