House Oversight Committee Task force members heard testimony concerning allegations by California Republican incumbent Robert Dornan of irregularities such as voting by non-citizens. Representative Loretta Sanchez (D) won by less than 1,000 votes. The task force agreed to a field hearing in April or May to further evaluate the matter, although Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-MD) strenuously objected to the purpose of such a hearing and called for an immediate dismissal of the case. close
