Congressional Distinguished Service Awards were presented to Father Robert Drinan, outgoing CIA director Porter Goss, Ambassador Lindy Boggs, and Vice President Richard Cheney. Speaker Hastert said the awards “recognize former members of Congress who exemplify the best of public service” and who have demonstrated integrity, perseverance, and commitment to the principles of freedom and democracy."
