Committee members heard from Democratic Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu’s attorneys and defeated Republican Senate candidate Woody Jenkins concerning the validity of Mr. Jenkins' claims of voter fraud in the Louisiana Senate election in which he lost to Senator Landrieu by less than 6,000 votes. Democratic committee members said Mr. Jenkins had insufficient proof to warrant an investigation. Committee chair Senator Warner said he supports the full investigation requested by Mr. Jenkins. The committee is scheduled to vote on April 17 on how to proceed. close
