The subcommittee heard testimony on a draft report from the National Commission on Judicial Discipline and Removal on the removal process for lifetime judicial appointments. Witnesses talked about potential reforms to the judicial discipline process that would improve the ability of Congress to remove convicted criminals from the federal bench. The commission is expected to introduce its final report in August 1993. close
