Daniel Markey talked about the latest developments in Afghanistan and how the re-election of President Obama is playing within the country. Mr. Markey said that Afghanistan, while making some progress in education and infrastructure, is still in political turmoil. He also remarked that the path to U.S. troop withdrawal would be difficult, and that the relationship between President Obama and Afghan President Karzai was strained.
