Mr. Archer and Ms. McPhail answered questions from a three person panel during a debate for the open mayoral seat in Detroit, Michigan to succeed Mayor Colman Young who had served for 20 years. The issues of crime, race baiting, and jobs were the main focus of the debate. Ms. McPhail had a plan to increase the Police force, deal with rising insurance rates, educate the children and repopulate the city. Mr. Archer’s plan centered on education and improving city services. close
