Mark Krikorian and Sarahi Uribe talked about the Secure Communities program and they responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. The program was created during the George W. Bush administration and requires the FBI to share with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) the fingerprints of everyone booked into local jails. The prints are then checked against the DHS immigration database for possible deportation. Mr. Krikorian's group supports the program, Ms. Uribe's group does not.
