A panel discussion was held on the Future of the Democratic Party with Donna Brazile, Democratic strategist and Gore-Lieberman 2000 Campaign Manager; Jim Jordon, Democratic strategist; Rep. Brad Carson, D-Oklahoma, who lost his 2004 bid for the U.S. Senate; Steve Jarding, Democratic strategist; and Harrison Hickman, Democratic strategist. It was moderated by The Hotline Editor in Chief Chuck Todd. 

The panel was part of the American Democracy Conference hosted by The Hotline and the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics on December 3, 2004. The event took place at the Hotel Washington in Washington, D.C.
