Mr. Wimbush moderated a panel on “Is Democracy Good for the Middle East?” Panelists talked about current violence between Israel and Palestinians, regional insecurity, the future of the Middle East peace process, and the promotion of democracy as a core U.S. goal in the region. They also talked about potential reforms to expand civil rights within largely authoritarian governments. Following their remarks they answered questions from the audience. close
