Douglas Brinkley talked about his book The Great Deluge: Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans, and the Mississippi Gulf Coast, published by William Morrow. At the event, Mr. Brinkley introduced several New Orleans residents whose stories of how they used their own resources to assist in the disaster relief efforts are included in his book. He responded to questions from members of the audience.
