House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi spoke to reporters about the White House meeting among President Obama and congressional leaders on the budget and debt reduction. Leader Pelosi stated emphatically that House Democrats “do not support cuts in benefits for Social Security and Medicare.” She also admitted she did not declare this position in the meeting with President Obama.
