Mr. Bacon and General Wald briefed reporters on the NATO mission against Serbian forces in Yugoslavia. Mr. Bacon said that NATO was working on a force generation plan for an eventual peacekeeping force in Kosovo. General Wald gave an operational update using charts, maps and video to show the extent of bomb damage. He also noted that NATO bombs had struck President Milosevic’s villa which served as a command headquarters and a critical early warning radar. During their presentation they answered questions from the reporters. close
