Secretary Riley and Assistant Secretary Longanecker briefed reporters in the Department of Education on a new report on student loan default rates across the nation. They announced that the student loan default rates have declined since 1990, and discussed the continuing efforts of the Education Department to provide the best service for students and educators in America.
