Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell spoke with reporters shortly after a meeting with President Obama at the White House. He said President Obama would have to agree to short, medium, and long term spending cuts in order to get his vote on raising the debt ceiling. Senator McConnell called specifically for a cap on discretionary spending over the next two years.
