Following a second day of meetings, the co-chairmen of the debate commission and the chairmen of the Gore and Bush campaigns briefly commented on the progress of the negotiations. They revealed no details and indicated that the discussions would be completed the following day. Kirk and Fahrenkopf made their comments first outside of the commission headquarters and departed. They were followed by separate comments first by Daley and then by Evans.
