Vermont Governor Howard Dean (D) outlined his foreign policy agenda as he campaigned for President, and reiterated his opposition to the decision to go to war in Iraq. He also suggested ways in which he would approach policy toward Iraq, the Middle East, terrorism, and build multilateral coalitions. The event was hosted by the Pacific Council on International Policy. Following his remarks he answered questions from the audience.

His speech came the day after Iraqi President Saddam Hussein was captured to stand trial for war crimes. close
