Telephone lines were open for reaction to the opening day of the Democratic National Convention at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. Highlights of the Convention were shown. 

Additional programs shown included an episode of The Communicators with Obama Campaign Communication Adviser William Kennard, Leslie Bradshaw talking about the media technology that was used to cover the Convention, a rally for Sen. McCain featuring rapper Daddy Yankee, multiple political rallies for Sen. Obama, a tribute to Sen. Kennedy, an interview with adviser Valerie Jarrett, and a symposium on the role of race in the presidential election.
