Dave Barry is the author of thirty books and was a syndicated humor columnist for twenty-five years. His latest book, Dave Barry’s History of the Millennium (So Far), is a collection of reviews of the years. He made humorous comments about recent events in the news and his life. Frank McCourt is the author of several books, including the memoir Angela’s Ashes that won the Pulitzer Prize in 1997. Mr. McCourt was an English teacher in New York City high schools for thirty years. He spoke humorously about his life and about education, including how teaching is depicted in the movies. After their presentations, both authors responded to questions from members of the audience.
