Mr. Drez talked about his book Remember D-Day: The Plan, the Invasion, Survivor Stories, published by National Geographic Society. He gave a basic history of the events leading up to the invasion of Normandy, described the invasion itself, and explained why the Allies succeeded. Mr. Drez also included brief accounts and pictures of some of the soldiers who took part in the invasion. This 64-page book was aimed at children in grades 4-8. Mr. Drez responded to questions from members of the audience.
