Panelists spoke about government programs and the Department of Homeland Secutiry's efforts to protect the privacy of computerized information. Among the issues they addressed were protection of identity information, maintenance of an information infrastructure, and the use and dissemination of information. Nuala O' Connor Kelly moderated.
"A Progressive Dimension: Cybersecurity and Privacy" was the sixth panel of an event titled "A Path Forward: Constitutional Protections in Homeland Security". This series of roundtable discussions on the future of privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties at the Department of Homeland Security was hosted by the Majority Staff of the House Committee on Homeland Security in Cannon House Office Building.
