Paul Fussell spoke about cultural and social aspects of warfare. Among the topics he addressed were some of his experiences in war, the impact of war on society at-large, and the daily routine faced by combatants deployed in war. Mr. Fussell also read portions of his book The Great War and Modern Memory. Following his remarks he answered questions from members of the audience.
