Richard Lobo, director of the Office of Cuba Broadcasting at the United States Information Agency, discussed the functions of his agency as well as the operations of Radio Marti, which broadcasts Spanish-language radio programs from Miami to Cuba. The radio station broadcasted a message discouraging Cubans from emigrating to the United States via boat or raft. C-SPAN’s Connie Doebele moderated the conversation which included footage of a Radio Marti Spanish language broadcast and viewer calls with comments and questions for Mr. Lobo. close
