Attorney General Janet Reno and “America’s Most Wanted” Host John Walsh were among the witnesses to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee on a proposed constitutional amendment to protect the rights of violent crime victims. The committee supports an amendment, which would give victims the opportunity to be present at court and parole proceedings, to be heard at sentencing and to be notified about release or escape.
