Mark Allenbaugh talked about the decision in the Supreme Court case Gall v. United States where the Court held in a 7-2 decision that federal courts have the authority to set any reasonable sentence as long as the reasoning is explained. Allenbaugh said that this case reaffirmed that mandatory minimum sentences are unconstitutional. The process used by the Sentencing Commission to determine an advisory sentence for a crime was talked about. He answered questions from callers. close
