As part of the celebration of Law Day, U.S> Supreme Court Clerk William Suter talked with Fairfax, Virginia high school students about how the U.S. Supreme Court operates, especially on how cases can get to the Court. During his presentation, he took questions from the audience. President Eisenhower established Law Day on May 1 in 1958 as a counter celebration to the Soviet celebration of May Day on the same day. Following the Suter speech, an interview was shown on Supreme Court justices who have been portrayed on postage stamps. close
