David Harris talked about his book "Good Cops: The Case for Preventive Policing". In it Mr. Harris called for an end to racial profiling, calling it an impediment to effective criminal apprehension. He also wrote that police need to develop more effective relationships in the communities they patrol, demand accountability within the force, and open themselves up to new ideas and approaches to police work, which he believes is a necessity for more effective policing in the 21st century.
