Panelists talked about national party conventions, the history of the presidential nominating system, and changes in the way America now selects its presidential candidates. Participants, most of whom had been presidential candidates, spoke about their own experiences in party politics and their impressions of significant events in past party conventions. Richard Norton Smith moderated.
