Congressional Agenda

House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-GA) and Florida Republican leaders held a town hall meeting with constituents and talked about several issues involving the congressional agenda. Speaker Gingrich thanked his supporters and the supporters of the Republican Party for contributing to the party’s ascension to power in the House of Representatives. He talked about the strategies that led to the Republican Party’s victories in the last two elections and then outlined plans for the current agenda such as a balanced budget, a strong military and reducing drug use among Americans.
