Topics included how the division of powers and responsibilities has been interpreted in the past, how military action was taken without congressional authorization, and how the legislative branch plays a significant role when our nation is faced by international crises. Panelists included former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert (D-IL), former Representatives Chris Shays (R-CT) and John Tanner (D-TN), and journalist Bob Woodward. The panel was moderated by former White House Press Secretary Mike McCurry. close
