Richard Cohen talked about his cover story for this week’s National Journal on whether the “new Center” is likely to be voted out in November and whether the right or left would be most likely to replace them in the current political atmosphere. The freshman Congressional class of 2006 included enough Democrats to return control of the House to the party, but a National Journal annual study of voting patterns reveals a largely moderate streak to the newest Democratic representatives. He responded to telephone calls and electronic mail.
