As part of an Inside Washington Academic Seminar on “Politics and the Media,” Mr. Cook talked about the new political landscape and the 110th Congress. He described predictive polling results in the year before the midterm elections. He talked in detail about the reasons for the midterm election results in which Democrats achieved control of both houses of Congress. He also talked about Democratic legislative goals.
