Participants spoke to conservative activists about the future of the conservative movement and the Republican Party. The annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) was sponsored by the American Conservative Union. The afternoon portion of the second day of the conference included speeches by policy makers, political advisers, and a number of student activists.
