Health center officials talked with congressional staff members about the importance of the current structure of the Federally Qualified Health Centers program and how it helps improve the availability and delivery of health care in local communities. They encouraged the reauthorization of the program at the end of the fiscal year, noting that the centers serve people regardless of their ability to pay, serving as a safety net for the uninsured.
