As part of the annual Pope John XXIII lecture series, Bob Casey delivered an address on the topic, “Restoring America’s Moral Compass: Leadership and the Common Good.” Topics included his family background, the sense of social justice, the Hurricane Katrina aftermath, pro-life issues, lessening the influence of special interests, and homeland security. He quoted Abraham Lincoln and Pope John XXIII. After his speech he responded to audience members' questions.

A 1988 alumnus of the law school, Mr. Casey is the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate from Pennsylvania and is running against incumbent Republican Rick Santorum. close
