Aaron Glantz talked about and read from his book The War Comes Home: Washington’s Battle Against America’s Veterans (University of California Press; January 15, 2009). The author looks at how the veterans of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are being treated by the U.S. government. He interviewed over one hundred veterans for the book and says that far too many are being neglected. Ernesto Estrada and Walter Williams, both Iraq war veterans, spoke about their experiences in the war and back at home afterward. Following their remarks they responded to audience members' questions.

Aaron Glantz covered the Iraq War as an independent journalist. He is the author of How America Lost Iraq and the co-author of Winter Soldier: Iraq and Afghanistan. He is currently a Rosalynn Carter Fellow for Mental Health Journalism at the Carter Center. close
