William Least Heat-Moon discussed his latest book, Columbus in the Americas, published by John Wiley and Sons. In it, the author makes the case that Columbus' interaction with the indigenous people of the lands he explored caused them irreparable harm and is an aspect of the explorer’s legend that is often overlooked. Mr. Heat-Moon talked about Columbus' journeys to the Americas including detailed accounts of his stops in Jamaica, Panama, and the Caribbean.
