On the 50th anniversary of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, court judges and others commemorated the anniversary. They described about the history of the code and it purpose. Judge Everett was on the joint military committee that wrote the code. The law was created to protect the constitutional rights of military members and was signed into law in 1950 by President Harry Truman.
