Business executives testified on ways to reform U.S. tax code. In their remarks they expressed unanimous support for tax reforms that would lower the corporate tax rate and eliminate special loopholes known as tax expenditures. Wal-Mart CEO Michael Duke also commented on the debt ceiling debate, saying a U.S. default would be devastating to Wal-Mart’s customers and the economy.
