A panel discussion was held on the results of the 2008 elections and their implications for environmental policy, including climate change and energy. Topics included the impact of the financial crisis on environmental policy, committee structure changes with the new Congress, federal assistance to the auto industry, carbon offsets, and nuclear power. Following their remarks, panel members responded to questions from the audience. Daphne Wysham moderated.
