The Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood held a forum titled, “Consuming Kids: How Marketing Undermines Children’s Health, Values and Behavior.” The panelists talked about solutions to this commercialization of children’s lives. Topics included anti-marketing campaigns that have worked; community education of children, parents, teachers, social workers and others about corporate branding, obesity, and role modeling; and forming local organizations against marketing to children. After their presentations the panelists answered audience members' questions. close
