Retired Lieutenant Colonel Hoffman talked about his biography, Chesty: The Story of Lieutenant General Lewis B. Puller, USMC, published by Random House. The book is a biography of Lieutenant General Puller, a marine officer for 37 years and holder of five Navy Crosses for valor. Col. Hoffman told stories about the leadership tactics of “Chesty” Puller during foreign battles in WWII including the battle at Guadalcanal, and read letters that were written to and from General Puller. After his presentation he answered questions from audience members.
