Former Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff spoke about domestic security policy, particularly in light of the Syrian use of chemical weapons and proposed U.S. military strikes in response to the use of chemical weapons ins Syria. He said if the U.S. did not respond to Syria’s use of chemical weapons, it would have a direct strategic impact on what happens in Iran. He also said that this was a significant week in history for the country with the 12th anniversary of 9/11 attacks and being on the eve of the President’s speech on Syria. close
