House Financial Services Committee Chair Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) talked about the future of home ownership. He talked about the role played by government sponsored enterprises in the housing market crisis and outlined the Protecting American Taxpayers and Homeowners (PATH) Act, legislation that would change housing finance by eliminating Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. After his remarks he responded to questions from former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Mel Martinez.
