Sen. Trent Lott talked about his memoir Herding Cats: A Life in Politics, published by Regan Books. The book discussed his career in politics and his role as a leader in the conservative movement. Senator Lott talked about his life at the University of Mississippi where he was a cheerleader and fraternity leader. During his presentation, he showed pictures from his book and read a couple passages. The author also discussed his resignation as Senate Majority Leader after comments he made at the late Senator Strom Thurmond’s 100th birthday party. Following his remarks, Senator Lott responded to questions and comments from members of the audience. close
